Abstract:
The disclosed multi-purpose information apparatus achieves a variety of functions by way of an information apparatus comprising a minimal required hardware configuration and a hybrid disk. The multi-purpose information apparatus (1) is provided with a drive device (5) for driving a hybrid disk (15) comprising a non-rewritable layer on which application software and a disk function ID corresponding to the function of the application software have been recorded and a rewritable layer stacked upon the non-rewritable layer; and is provided with non-volatile memory (4) on which an apparatus function ID corresponding to functions of the multi-purpose information apparatus has been recorded; an assessment unit (2) for assessing whether or not the disk function ID recorded upon the non-rewritable layer of the hybrid disk (15) corresponds to the apparatus function ID recorded upon the non-volatile memory (4); and an execution unit (3) that reads in the application software from the non-rewritable layer when the disk function ID has been assessed to correspond to the apparatus function ID, executes thereof, and writes data related to execution of the application software to the rewritable layer.
