Abstract:
Provided is a multi-stage compressor that can supply a gaseous refrigerant at an intermediate pressure compressed by a low-stage compression element to a high-stage compression element without using a pipe, and can reduce suction loss when a working fluid is sucked into the high-stage compression element. The multi-stage compressor has: a low-stage compression element (17) that compresses a low-pressure working fluid to an intermediate pressure; a high-stage compression element (18) that compresses the intermediate-pressure working fluid to a high pressure; and a partition plate (19) that partitions between the low-stage and high-stage compression elements (17, 18). The partition plate (19) is formed by linking a split plurality of split partition plates (19a, 19b); within the partition plate (19) is formed an in-partition-plate intermediate pressure space (27) at which the intermediate-pressure working fluid compressed by the low-stage compression element (17) is discharged; and at the end of the partition plate (19) facing the high-stage compression element (18) is formed an intake port (29) that causes the working fluid within the in-partition-plate intermediate pressure space (27) to be taken into the high-stage compression element (18).
