Abstract:
A multi-stage pulse tube refrigerator (10) includes a main pressure switching valve (14) for alternately connecting a first-stage cold storage device high-temperature end (16a) to a compressor outlet (12a) and a compressor inlet (12b), and a secondary pressure switching valve (20) for alternately connecting, via a pulse tube communication path (34), both a first-stage pulse tube high-temperature end (18a) and a second-stage pulse tube high-temperature end (24a) to the compressor outlet (12a) and the compressor inlet (12b). The pulse tube communication path (34) has a branch portion (42) between the first-stage pulse tube high-temperature end (18a) and second-stage pulse tube high-temperature end (24a) and the secondary pressure switching valve (20), and branches, at the branch portion (42), to a first pulse tube channel (44) and a second pulse tube channel (46). The first pulse tube channel (44) connects the secondary pressure switching valve (20) to the first-stage pulse tube high-temperature end (18a), and the second pulse tube channel (46) connects the secondary pressure switching valve (20) to the second-stage pulse tube high-temperature end (24a).
