Abstract:
In an automatic transmission (20), an engagement oil chamber (350) of a clutch (C3) configured so as to bypass a center support (11c) is defined by a drum member (360) and a piston (340) supported by the drum member (360). The drum member (360) is coupled, not to a third ring gear (23r) of a Ravigneaux planetary gear mechanism (25) that rotates at a rotation speed of at least the rotation speed of an input shaft (20i) during forward travel of a vehicle, but to a second ring gear (22r) of a second planetary gear (22) that rotates at no more than the rotation speed of the third ring gear (23r). Hydraulic oil is supplied to the engagement oil chamber (350) via oil paths (116, 368), etc., in the drum member (360) that defines the center support (11c) and the engagement oil chamber (350). A seal member (SR) is arranged on both sides in the axial direction of a connection section between the oil path (116) and the oil path (368).
