Abstract:
The present invention relates to a standby-power power strip (multi-tab power strip and multi-tab) for preventing the waste of standby power to prevent the limitless consumption of standby power which is a major factor in the waste of electricity, and a method for cutting off standby power by means of the standby-power power strip. Particularly, the present invention relates to a multi-tab power strip and a method for cutting off standby power by means of same, and proposes preventing wasting electricity by means of the multi-tab power strip widely used in the home and minimizing the standby power which must be unavoidably wasted when household appliances are operated by receiving operational control signals from a remote controller, the multi-tab power strip for preventing standby power waste cutting off the current flowing inside the standby-power power strip (multi-tab) when the household appliances plugged thereinto are no longer in use so that the automatic consumption of standby power during non-use periods can be prevented.
