Abstract:
According to an embodiment of the present invention, a MT-TOFM has: a linear ion trap (2) that temporarily holds ions to be analyzed and emits the ions through an elongated ion emission opening (211) in one direction; a go-around flight unit (3) forming a go-around orbit (P) that allows ions to fly repeatedly; and a slit portion (5) which is arranged in an ion path until the ions emitted from the linear ion trap (2) is introduced into the go-around orbit, and shields some ions in the longitudinal direction of the ion emission opening (211).
