Abstract:
An objective of the present invention is to provide a multi-type air conditioning device and a multi-type air conditioning device setup method such that even in cases where a plurality of indoor units have different installation heights a shortage of refrigerant to indoor units installed in a lower area is prevented. This multi-type air conditioning device (1)comprises one outdoor unit (2) connected to a plurality of indoor units (3) and during a heating operation the compressor speed is controlled such that high pressure reaches a high pressure target value and the degree to which indoor side expansion valves of each indoor unit (3) are opened is controlled such that the heat exchanger outlet temperature of the plurality of indoor units (3) reach a target heat exchanger outlet temperature. The multi-type air conditioning device has a setting unit (71) that performs initial settings during a heating operation such as reducing the temperature of the heat exchanger outlet temperature target value by a specific amount and/or increasing the high pressure target value by a specific value in the case that the height difference between indoor units (3) with the largest height difference therebetween, as determined by comparing installation heights of each indoor unit (3), exceeds a prescribed height difference.
