[0003] The projection of new digital watches that have a high degree of functionality will present owners of fine watches with a quandary: whether to wear the high value fine watch or to wear the highly functional digital watch. The highly functional digital watch, for example the Apple Watch from Apple, may have functionality similar to smart phones. Wearers of the highly function digital watches will enjoy the functionality of a smart phone on their wrist. However, they will forego a more traditional analog display or high value watch in order to do so. [0004] Therefore, there is a need to develop watch bands that allow for the use of both analog watches and digital watches.

Summary

[0005] In accordance with aspects of the present invention, a watch band capable of holding at least two watches is provided. The watch band includes a first section and a second section where the first section and the second section are coupled to hold a first watch and a second watch. In some embodiments, the watch band can include one or more additional devices. [0006] These and other embodiments are further discussed below with respect to the following figures.

[0019] Figure 1 illustrates an example of a watch band 100 according to some embodiments of the present invention. As shown in Figure 1, watch band 100 includes a first section 102 and a second section 104. As shown in Figure 1, watch band 100 couples a first watch 106 with a second watch 108. First section 102 and second section 104 couple first watch 106 and second watch 108 into a single wearable watchband with two watches. Watch 106 and watch 108 can be any pair of watches.

[0020] Watch band 100 can be used to mount a decorative watch, watch 106 in Figure 1, with a highly functional smart digital watch, watch 108, for example. For those users that do not wish to abandon wearing of an expensive high-end watch but would also like the functionality of a smart digital watch, watch 106 can be a high end watch and watch 108 can be a smart digital watch.

[0021] In general, watch band 100 can be used to mount any two devices, for example two watches, that a user may wish to combine. Although the examples used in this disclosure are directed towards watches, watch band 100 may be used with other devices as well. For example, wearable depth meters, pedometers, heart rate monitors, blood oximeters, sleep monitors, accelerometers, near-field communications devices or other devices may be combined with digital devices. In some embodiments, devices, especially monitors, may be mounted with watchband 100 in such a way that they are in contact with the skin of the user.

[0022] As shown in Figure 1, sections 102 and 104 can include connectors 110, 114, 112 and 116 to mate with watches 106 and 108. The example shown in Figure 1 is a pin type, or spring bar, connection so that section 102 couples to watch 106 with connector 112 and to watch 108 with connector 110 while section 104 couples to watch 106 with connector 116 and couples to watch 108 with connector 114. Watch band 100 can include any type of connectors 110, 112, 114, and 116 to mate with any watch 108 and watch 106. For example, connectors 110, 112, 114, and 116 can be any combination of pin type, spring bar, smart watch connection or other connections. In some embodiments, one or more of watch 106 and watch 108 may be integrally formed with band sections 102 and 104. In some embodiments section 102 and 104 can be formed in a single piece with a holder for watch 108 formed in the now single piece band.

[0023] Additionally, in some embodiments one or more clasps 118 that may be formed in section 102, section 104 or both sections 102 and 104. The clasp can be any type of clasp, including a bauble bracelet, box with tongue clasp, box with tongue and safety clasp, buckle, deployment buckler or invisible double locking clasp, deployment buckle with push button, fold-over clasp, fold-over clasp with safety, fold-over clasp with push button, push button or double locking fold- over clasp, jewelry clasp, jewelry clasp with push button, lobster claw or hook buckle clasp, and toggle clasp. Band 100 can be formed of any material capable of holding watch 106 and watch 108. For example, band 100 can be formed as an expansion bracelet or strap. Band 100 can be formed of one or more of the following materials: leather or other animal hides, simulated hides, metal, precious metals, cloth, fabric, nylon, rubber plastic, composite materials or other material. Band 100 can be formed to various designs and patterns and can be formed of combinations of materials.

Although Figures 2A and 2B as well as Figures 3 A and 3B illustrate watches 106 and 108 of watch band 100 are arranged to be directly opposite one another, in some embodiments watches 106 and 108 can have any spacing on band 100. Spacing on band 100 may be determined by style and preference.

The mount may be of any form to hold watch 108 and connect to the watch bands, for example a circle mount, square mount, or C-type mount.
