A multicast data transmission method, a related device and a communication system. The method comprises: a core network control plane device receiving a multicast message from a core network user plane device, the multicast message carrying an identifier of a source terminal device that sends multicast data and an identifier of a target multicast group that the source terminal device belongs to; sending, according to the identifier of the source terminal device, the identifier of the target multicast group and a first multicast table, an identifier of a target access network device of multicast data to be received to the core network user plane device, with the target access network device being an access network device accessed by the terminal device belonging to the target multicast group in a target local area network, the target local area network being a local area network that the source terminal device belongs to, and the first multicast table comprising an identifier of each terminal device that has been added to the local area network, an identifier of a multicast group that each terminal device belongs to, an identifier of a local area network that each terminal device belongs to, and an identifier of an access network device that each terminal device accesses. By using the present application, the overhead of a core network user plane device is reduced.
