Abstract:
A multicolor image forming material comprising an image receiving sheet having an image receiving layer, and at least four types of thermal transfer sheets each having a photothermal conversion layer and an image forming layer, and being used for image recording by applying a laser beam, wherein the photothermal conversion layer contains poly-amide/-imide of a specific structure and a cyanine dye of a specific structure. A multicolor image forming material, wherein the difference, in a visible light region, between the reflectance of the image forming layer of a thermal transfer sheet prior to image recording by the application of a laser beam and the reflectance of an image forming layer transferred by laser beam application onto the image receiving layer of an image receiving sheet is up to 10% for the image forming layer of each thermal transfer sheet; and a multicolor image forming material, wherein the color difference between the hue, when not exposed immediately after image recording, of an image forming layer transferred by laser beam application onto the image receiving layer of an image receiving sheet and the hue after exposed is up to 2 for the image forming layer of each thermal transfer sheet.
