Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a multicomponent copolymer that can be used to produce a cross-linked rubber composition or a rubber product that has excellent breakdown characteristics (strength and elongation) at high temperatures while maintaining high weather resistance. The purpose of the present invention is also to provide a rubber composition that includes the multicomponent copolymer, to provide a cross-linked rubber composition that is obtained by cross-linking the rubber composition, and to provide a rubber product and a tire that use the rubber composition or the cross-linked rubber composition. This multicomponent copolymer is characterized by containing a conjugated diene unit, a non-conjugated olefin unit, and an aromatic vinyl unit. The multicomponent copolymer is also characterized in that a main chain thereof comprises only acyclic structures, in that the aromatic vinyl unit content is 3 mol% or more of the entire multicomponent copolymer, and in that the non-conjugated olefin unit content is greater than 44 mol% but less than 97 mol% of the entire multicomponent copolymer.
