CLAIMS

1. A multifunctional edema tracking device characterized in that comprising;

- An integrated connection gateway that allows connection to devices such as intravenous pumps, ventilators, beds and other patient monitors,

- An automatic usage mode that allows measurement at specified time intervals when plugged in and a manual use mode that allow it to measure (single) by adjusting manually when desired,

- A touch screen interface where patient data can be entered so that it can be used in people of all ages,

- A wireless network protocol to enable connection with other medical products,

- A battery that allows external use,

- A microprocessor contains software for keeping the data records of the measurements made, the healthy / sick individuals once enter gender, day / month / year, chronological age calculation (thanks to the program) height, weight, head circumference for babies younger than 18 months, recording the BKI / BMI (Body Mass Index), middle arm circumference, waist circumference measurement, history of the disease for healthy / sick individuals and the presence of medicines for sick individuals whether they regularly use,

- A tape measure indicator, which enables the measurement of the device and works as a kind of reel system collected inside the device after the measurement, is covered with natural rubber that will not cause allergies for sensitive baby / individuals and further comprises an oxygen measurement sensor, a blood pressure measurement sensor and a pulse measurement sensor on it,

- A length measuring sensor located at the exit of the slot where the tape measure indicator is positioned to measure the drawn length of the tape measure indicator.

TECHNICAL FIELD

The invention relates to a device that can be used automatically and manually, can be integrated with patient monitors, can be used for measurements such as head circumference, abdominal circumference, arm circumference in infants and children, and can measure edema in infants, children and adults.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The invention has a touch screen where patient data can be entered in order to be used in people of all ages, it can connect with other medical products, it is easy to determine the ankle circumference in the inpatients and edema in the early period, and it can be used for measuring, recording and also for tracking of the head circumference, abdomen circumference, arm circumference in infants and children.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The edema tracking device subject to our invention comprises;

- Integrated connection gateway that allows connection to devices such as intravenous pumps, ventilators, beds and other patient monitors,

- Automatic usage that allows measurement at specified time intervals when plugged in, and manual use modes that allow it to measure (single) by adjusting manually when desired,

- Touch screen interface where patient data can be entered so that it can be used in people of all ages,

- Wireless network protocol to enable connection with other medical products,

- Battery that allows external use,

- For keeping the data records of the measurements made, the healthy / sick individuals once enter gender, day / month / year, chronological age calculation (thanks to the program) height, weight, head circumference; for babies younger than 18 months, the ability to measure head circumference in older adults and evaluate it with special formulas (especially microcephaly, macrocephaly, hydrocephalus etc.) related to head circumference is important in early diagnosis and follow-up of some diseases. It has ability to measure and follow abdominal circumference in premature and newborns, which includes Necrotizing Enterocolitis, Hirschpurg (Aganglionic Megakolon) etc. It is important in the follow-up of diseases. Our invention is characterized by comprising a microprocessor containing software for recording the BKI / BMI (Body Mass Index), middle arm circumference, waist circumference measurement, history of the disease for healthy / sick individuals and the presence of medicines for sick individuals whether they regularly use.

The invention comprises a software than can measure fat (%), lean (kg), lean mass (kg), lean mass (%), water (%), water (kg), protein (%), protein (kg), mineral (%), mineral (kg) according to the Yuhasz formula by using the data of triceps, biceps, subscapula, suprailiac, measurements taken from the abdomen region measured by external devices (for example with caliper device), chronological age calculation, height, weight, head circumference (for babies younger than 18 months) by entering the province, gender, day / month / year, BMI (Body Mass Index), middle arm circumference, waist circumference. Thus, it is a device in which the fat (%), lean (kg), lean mass (%), lean mass (kg), water (%), water (kg), protein (%), protein (kg), mineral (%), mineral (kg) calculations of the body structure of healthy / sick individuals can be used in healthy individuals for sports, diet, etc. and it is also a device where patients and inpatients with sickness can be followed up by monitoring the ankle circumference every day.

The device can be used for one measurement when desired, or it can be used for more than one measurement per day. In healthy individuals, at least two measurements are recommended daily, once in the morning and once in the evening. The number of measurements can be increased by determining this number according to individual differences in patients with circulatory system, renal system and cardiovascular system diseases.

The tape measure indicator, which enables the measurement of the device and works as a kind of reel system collected inside the device after the measurement, is covered with natural rubber that will not cause allergies for sensitive baby / individuals. In order to offer a wide range of use from premature or normal born babies to adults, its length is enough to cover the minimum and maximum lengths of the sizes of the ankle circumferences. This length is also enough that can measure the circumference of the head and the circumference of abdomen of newborn babies. If it is desired to be suitable for use for adults, the device that allows this measurement for a more aesthetically appealing appearance can also be arranged as different apparatuses including distances that allow separate measurement for babies / children separately for adults. The operating logic of these possible apparatuses is the same as the technique described above and this information is provided for illustration purposes only.

Oxygen measurement sensor, blood pressure measurement sensor, and pulse measurement sensor on the tape measure indicator also measure the individual's oxygen saturation, blood pressure and pulse rate. Thus, edema monitoring is the main goal, but it also serves the purpose of obtaining different health data. The measurements taken are displayed on the screen.

In order to measure the ankle circumference precisely, the centimeter values on the tape measure contained in it are transferred to the screen with the same precision as the tape measure is drawn. The drawn length of the tape measure indicator is measured by the length measuring sensor located at the exit of the slot where the tape measure indicator is positioned and reflected on the screen with a precision of millimeter. This indicator is also used to measure the head circumference in infants. It can measure the ankle circumference of healthy / sick individuals, but can also be used for identification purposes, especially in infants / children and adults diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. In possible infant / child abductions, looking at the ankles can often be distracted. There is also a GPS position sensor in the invention to find individuals diagnosed with Alzheimer's.

It will be easy to determine the edema in the early period by measuring the ankle circumference, especially since inpatients' weight cannot be monitored daily. Apart from edema follow-up, possible fluid losses can be identified, especially in infants. It can also be used for measuring, recording and monitoring the head circumference in infants (younger than 18 months).
