Abstract:
A monomer useful as a dental material, a composition, a dental material, and a kit are provided. This monomer for a dental material contains a compound in which a core part (X) and a specific terminal group (Y2) are bonded together directly or with a linking group (Z) interposed therebetween, wherein the core part (X) contains an oxygen atom or a nitrogen atom, and is a multivalent organic group of 1-200 carbons having a valence of 3 or higher in which the atom bonding to the terminal group (Y2) or the linking group (Z) is an oxygen atom or a nitrogen atom; the terminal group (Y2) is a specific (meth)acryloyl group-containing group (Y3), a (meth)acryloyl group, a hydrocarbon group with 1-20 carbons, or a hydrogen atom; the terminal group (Y2) must satisfy a specific condition, the linking group (Z) is a specific divalent group, and if multiple linking groups (Z) are included, then the linking groups (Z) may be the same or different.
