Title:
MULTIFUNCTIONAL AND MULTIPARAMETRIC BIOCHIP ARRANGEMENT
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO2002027294
Kind Code:
A3
Abstract:
The invention relates to a biochip comprising a sensor unit for measuring the components of body fluids or cell cultures, especially for measuring the components of capillary, venous or arterial blood. The biochip is provided with a micropump, a controller chip and a transmitter/receiver unit. The sensor unit consists of at least one sensor element and a reference system for continuous alignment with the sensor element. A modular arrangement for measuring the components of body fluids or cell cultures and for regulating an organism consists of a plurality of individual components that are composed according to the requirements. Said modular arrangement is provided with a biochip, at least one controlling system for electronic control, rechargeable batteries, a transmitter/receiver system and at least one unit that consists of a storage container and a micropump for discharging substances.
