Abstract:
A multilayer ceramic capacitor according to the present invention includes: a laminate having a plurality of stacked dielectric layers and a plurality of internal electrodes formed along an interface between the dielectric layers; and a plurality of external electrodes that are formed on an outer surface of the laminate and electrically connected to the internal electrodes. The multilayer ceramic capacitor is configured such that the dielectric layer contains, as a principal component, a perovskite compound containing Ba and Ti (where a portion of Ba may be substituted with Ca and a portion of Ti may be substituted with Zr), and the sum of resistance values of the principal component and other components contained in the dielectric layer, as measured by means of the AC impedance method, is 1 MΩ or more.
