The present invention relates to multilayer coatings to which daters are added to provide a tracing function of the intensity of erosion and/or corrosion of surfaces and walls caused by chemical and/or mechanical agents. The chemical or mechanical attack might impair the integrity of walls and surfaces, reducing the thickness thereof, and/or increasing the porosity and/or roughness thereof, inter alia. These coatings thus protect the walls of ducts and other vessels and equipment for processing, conveying, storing, pumping and producing fluids, industrially processed products and associated co-products, namely: biodiesel, diesel, oil, alcohol, vinasse, crude glycerine, ethanol, etc. Surface attack and/or erosion is dated by observing and measuring optical, magnetic and biological properties, or any combination of these properties. Said monitoring or traceability can be local, remote, in real time or a posteriori, by observation of the fluids produced and/or stored, or by any combination of these possibilities.
