Title:
MULTILAYER THERMALLY RESTORABLE ARTICLE, WIRE SPLICE AND WIRING HARNESS
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2014/097694
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided are: a multilayer thermally restorable article which is capable of suppressing deterioration of a PVC insulated wire and outflow of an adhesive layer, and which is suitable for adequate protection of the PVC insulated wire; and a wire splice and a wiring harness, each of which uses this multilayer thermally restorable article. The present invention is a multilayer thermally restorable article (1) which is provided with a base layer (10) and an adhesive layer (11) that is laminated on the inner surface of the base layer (10). The adhesive layer (11) does not flow at a temperature of 135°C, and contains a thermoplastic resin and at least one viscosity characteristics-modifying agent that is selected from the group consisting of silica, organic-treated layered silicates and deterioration inhibitors. In cases where an insulated wire, which has a conductor and a polyvinyl chloride layer laminated on the outer circumference of the conductor, is covered with the multilayer thermally restorable article (1), no cracks occur in the polyvinyl chloride layer under heating conditions of 135°C and 200 hours.
