Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a multimedia resource uploading method and apparatus, an electronic device, a computer-readable storage medium, a computer program product, and a computer program. The method comprises: obtaining a current network speed of a terminal and a value of at least one target parameter of the terminal, each target parameter being related to the size of a resource shard; determining the size of an i-th resource shard to be currently uploaded of a target multimedia resource according to the current network speed and the value of the at least one target parameter, i being an integer greater than or equal to 1; obtaining the i-th resource shard from the target multimedia resource according to the size of the i-th resource shard; and uploading the i-th resource shard. In the embodiments of the present disclosure, on the basis of the current network speed of the terminal and parameters related to the size of the resource shard, the size of resource shards of a multimedia resource to be uploaded can be adaptively adjusted, so that a network speed can be well adapted, the upload efficiency and upload success rate of the multimedia resource are improved, and the upload flexibility can be improved.
