Abstract:
[Problem] To construct a multimode waveguide antenna connected to a waveguide for propagating multimode electromagnetic waves, the multimode waveguide antenna separating signals of various modes and radiating the respective signals to the outside of the waveguide. [Solution] A multimode waveguide antenna 201 is connected to a circular waveguide 1 for propagating electromagnetic waves of a TE11 mode and electromagnetic waves of a TM01 mode. The multimode waveguide antenna 201 comprises: TE11 mode transfer paths 6X, 6Y for performing separation and composition of TE11 mode electromagnetic waves between the TE11 mode transfer paths 6X, 6Y and the circular waveguide 1; a TM01 mode transfer path 7 for performing separation and composition of TM01 mode electromagnetic waves between the TM01 mode transfer path 7 and the circular waveguide 1; TE11 mode patch antennas 8X, 8Y for coupling with the electromagnetic waves propagating in the TE11 mode transfer paths 6X, 6Y; and a TM01 mode patch antenna 9 for coupling with the electromagnetic waves propagating in the TM01 mode transfer path 7.
