Abstract:
A multipath interference analysis device (10) comprises: a statistical amount calculation unit (13) that calculates a statistical amount of a measured value of splice loss and a measured value of cutoff wavelength, measured from a plurality of optical fiber pieces (pieces) for configuring an optical transmission line; a determination unit (14) that determines a truncated normal distribution from a normal distribution of the cutoff wavelength; a random number generation unit (15) that generates, on the basis of the truncated normal distribution, a random number for selecting a prescribed number of pieces of a splice connection target of the optical transmission path; and an MPI value calculation unit (16) that calculates an MPI value using a mode-dependent loss and a splice interval of a basic mode of the optical transmission line formed by the pieces selected according to the random number.
