Abstract:
A multiphase series-capacitor DC-DC converter, comprising: a power stage circuit, used to convert an input DC voltage into a stable DC voltage required for a load, the power stage circuit at least comprising two phases of inductors, there being a phase difference of a predetermined interval between currents of the phases of inductors, used to charge the load alternately in sequence, a bidirectional switch being provided between every adjacent two phases of inductors, and when a bidirectional switch is connected, the corresponding two phases of inductors simultaneously charging the load; and a load transient response circuit, used to control at least one bidirectional switch to connect when a load transient forward transition occurs so as to cause the at least two phases of inductors to simultaneously charge the load to quickly respond to transient changes in the load. The present disclosure also provides a control method for the converter, which can implement a quick response to transient changes in the load.
