Title:
MULTIPLE BAGS ASSEMBLY AND STAND FOR IT
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2006/126184
Kind Code:
A2
Abstract:
A multiple bags assembly and a fitting receiving stand or can is described. The bags have holes and ribbons knotted through the holes to keep the bags and the holes aligned together respectively before they are mounted on the can. The can has hooks upon which the bags assembly- through its holes- is mounted. After mounting the bags assembly on the can/stand, the ribbons are cut and removed. A flat rim on the can is covered by the mounted bags and prevents garbage from falling into the space between the bags assembly and the can/stand. . When the inner bag is full and pulled out, the hooks with the curvature and/or bulging keep the rest of the assembly inside the can or stand. The next bag in line is then ready to receive a new load of filling. When this bag is full, it is removed and so forth until the last bag of the assembly is utilized and removed. Then a new assembly is mounted and the process of utilization starts anew etc.

Claims:

1. Multiple bags assembly in which one bag is nested inside the following one

in sequence and means to enable mounting of said assembly on a fitting

stand. Said means could be holes through all the bags assembly. Said holes

placed in close proximity to the outer/upper edge of the bags assembly. Said

mounting means could be also handles attached to each bag of the assembly.

2. Stand/can with a flat rim having hooks at the outer edge of the rim.

3. Claim 2 and bulging on the vertical arm of the hooks.

4. Claim 1 and a ribbon(s) to be inserted through a hole(s) and knotted, thus

holding all the bags of the assembly aligned together before mounting of the

assembly of bags on a stand.

5. Claim 1 and a ribbon in each or less holes (or handles) in the bags of the

assembly- knotted to hold the bags of the assembly close to each other with

respective holes aligned.

6. Multiple bags assembly and means to hold the rest of the bags inside the can

or stand when the most inner bag is pulled out.

7. Claim 1 and means to hold the bags of the assembly aligned together; for

example: knotted ribbons through holes in each bag thus forming consequent

aligned holes of the assembly.

Description:

Multiple bags assembly and stand for it

Background of the invention:

Though multiple bags nested in each other in sequence have been described,

features to prevent the whole assembly from popping out, when the inner bag (the

full one) is removed out, have not. The purpose of this invention is to provide a

multiple bag assembly (two bags or more) with means to hold the assembly

together, and when the full inner bag is removed, there are means to hold the rest

of the bags inside their stand (or can). These features could be utilized for garbage

bags, supermarket bags, sink bags etc.

Brief description of the drawings of the invention:

Figure 1 represents one embodiment of the stand of the invention-in the form of a

can- upon which the multiple bag assembly of the invention is mounted.

Figure 2 represents one embodiment of the multiple bags assembly of the

invention- in the form of two bags nested one inside the other- to be mounted on

the stand of the invention.

Please refer to figures 1 and 2.

The invention includes a multiple bags stand 1 in figure 1 and multiple bags -.

nested one inside the other in sequence - 2 in figure 2. The stand (in a form of a

can in this embodiment) has hooks 3, 4, 5, 6 in figure 1 constructed on the outer

edge of rim 7. The hooks include small bugling 8. It also has a conventional foot-

activated automatic lid 9 opener - 10. Multiple bags 11 and 12 in figure 2 are

nested in sequence one inside the other, that is two bags or more nested in

sequence. In other words the embodiment in figure 2 includes two bags - one is

nested inside the other. Other embodiments could include up to fifty (or even

more) bags nested in sequence - one inside the previous one. The bags have holes

14, 15, 16, 17 close to the upper edge (opening) of the bags. Before mounting the

bags on the stand, a ribbon 13 with a knot holds the multiple bags aligned together.

Knots over more than one hole (i.e. through holes 14 and/or 15 and/or 16 and/or

17) that will hold all the bags of the assembly aligned together are optional. The

hooks and the stand could be made of plastic or metal.

Mode of operation:

The multiple bags assembly is mounted on the can (or stand) by inserting the bags

assembly through holes 14, 15, 16, 17 on hooks 3, 4, 5, 6. The hooks will hold the

bags assembly open } when the rest of the bags 2 in figure 2 are being pushed

deeply into can 1 in figure 1. After this insertion the ribbon(s) is cut off. Then, the

ribbons are needed no more, because now the assembly is being held by the hooks.

The most inner bag 12 is now ready to receive (garbage or grocery or etc.). When

the inner bag 12 is full, it is separated from the rest of the assembly and is taken

out of the hooks 3, 4, 5, 6. The purpose of making the hooks and/or the bulging is

to overcome the situation whereas the second bag in sequence will stick to the first

(inner)- 12 that is being removed and comes out too. By pulling the full inner bag

12 in a spiral upward direction, even if the rest of the bags stick to the one being

removed, the bulging 8 and/or the curvature of the hooks 18 will keep the rest of

the assembly inside the can. The purpose of placing the hooks - and consequently

the open edge of the bags- on the outer edge of rim 7 is to prevent the garbage

from falling accidentally into the space between the can and the bags.

The advantage of this constellation is of course to avoid placing the bags one at a

time on the stand /can, but rather placing all of them (the assembly of two bags or

more) once. When the full inner bag is removed, the next in-sequence is

automatically ready to receive the filling (garbage, grocery etc.) and so forth, until

all the bags of the assembly have been utilized. After the last bag of an assembly

has been utilized and removed, a new assembly of bags can be mounted on the

stand ready to be used, and so on. These features save time, labor, is very

convenient and practical.
