Abstract:
A multiple peening treatment method wherein tip radius of curvature (Ri) of a vibration terminal used for an i-th time and tip radius of curvature (Ri + 1) of a vibration terminal used for an (i + 1)th time satisfy Ri < Ri + 1 ≤ 2Ri, wherein the first peening treatment uses a vibration terminal in which the tip radius of curvature (Ri)is 1-3 mm, and is performed until the weld toe line and overlap defects are removed, wherein the second or subsequent peening treatment is performed until overlap defects are removed with the vibration terminal of the tip radius of curvature (Ri + 1), and wherein the final peening treatment is performed using a vibration terminal in which the tip radius of curvature (Ri + 1) is 4.0 mm or more.
