Abstract:
The present invention relates to a system and a method for preventing collision between ships or collision between a ship and an obstacle. According to the present invention, in order to resolve problems of vessel traffic service (VTS) systems of the prior art, which have difficulty in that the complexity of work performance rapidly increases as the number of ships to be guided increases since prevention measures should be performed by identifying, one by one, whether there is a collision possibility between a plurality of ships or a collision possibility between a plurality of ships and a plurality of fixed obstacles, provided is a multiple ships-collision avoidance guiding system using a time series graphic display, which is configured to display a time series graph by calculating a change in relative distance according to time for each ship and obstacle on the basis of current positions and moving speeds of ships or obstacles such as bridges, wherein a change in distance, according to the flow of time, between ships is displayed as a time series graph by normalizing a lower limit value of spare distance and a lower limit value of spare time for each ship, thereby enabling assistance to be provided in easily perceiving, at a glance, positions, crossing time, and collision avoidance of ships at sea and obstacles and in quickly and accurately determining a situation, and simultaneously preventing an increase in the complexity of collision determination work even when the number of ships to be guided increases.
