Abstract:
This invention relates to a precipitation tank enabling aerobic precipitation. The multiplex gas phase precipitation tank of this invention consists of a group of a plurality of flat, horizontally extending, inverted vessels fixed in multiple stages vertically with a predetermined distance for the purpose of storing a predetermined quantity of gas in the water in the tank; and hollow projections provided, communicating with and extending downward from air vents, which are provided at predetermined portions of the bottom walls of the vessels in the group thereof, to a length shorter than the height of a side wall of each of the vessels. If side walls closing a part of the spaces of a predetermined depth c which constitute passages between the vertically adjacent vessels in the group thereof, in which spaces the water flows freely into and out of the interior thereof when the group of the vessels is placed in the water, are provided so as to limit the number of the water outlets and inlets, the entry and discharge of the water into and from the left and right sides of the vessels are prevented, and the entry and discharge of the water into and from the front and rear sides only thereof are allowed.
