Abstract:
A relay switch is provided between the output terminal of each of multiplexers included in a certain layer of a tree structure and the input terminal of a multiplexer included in a layer immediately overlying the certain layer. The relay switch is turned on which is connected to each of ones of the multiplexers included in the certain layer and being currently related to a signal selection, while the relay switch is turned off which is connected to each of the other ones of the multiplexers included in the certain layer. In this way, the resistance and capacitance components of the multiplexers corresponding to the relay switches that are turned off can be separated from the tree structure to reduce the values of the time constants CR that affect the working speeds of the multiplexers. This eliminates the problem that the working speed of the whole multiplexer circuit is reduced due to increase of the time constants.
