Abstract:
The present invention concerns multiply compound types of magnetic plane gear and magnetic spherical-gear as well as their transmissions. Such a type of magnetic gear is composed of a central shaft, a series of rotatable base plates, rotatable spacers there between, and a plurality of permanent magnets circumferentially arranged on the base plate. The base plates with permanent magnets thereon and the spaces are alternately and coaxially stacked on the central shaft to form the compound magnetic-gear. The permanent magnets are arranged with an equal interval between each on the pitch circle of the base plate and the pole directions of the magnets are alternately oriented. At the engaging region of the two magnetic gears, each magnet of one magnetic gear is within the field of the magnetomotive force ( MMF ) generated by some magnets of the other magnetic gear, so that a tangential magnetic-effect is produced meanwhile under the restriction of the central shaft when the magnet is deviated from the field of MMF. The present magnetic-gear and its transmission have many advantages such as great engaging force, high speed, low noise, no-wear, no-pollution, high efficiency, with definite speed radio, overload protection, easy manufacture and great power transmission.
