DESCRIPTION

The obj ect of the present invention is a multipurpose apparatus for gymnastic and similar activities and, more precisely, a professional-level "basic home gym" apparatus for the isotonic training and fitness both for indoor and outdoor training .

State of the art

It is known that , despite a large number of availabl e gyms , a lot o f people are unable to use them; working hours , family commitments , the fact of living in areas poorly served by public facilities and transport , represent obj ective obstacles that can prevent the carrying out of regular and profitable training . For the aforementioned people , the onl y alternative would be the home training, by planning training sessions based on daily commitments .

For the above purpose , many manufacturing companies o f gymnastic equipment are committed to provide multi-purpose gymnastic equipment that concentrates the greatest number o f functions in the smallest space possible and which can be placed and used inside apartments , even i f small in si ze .

On the other hand, the gyms provide a variety of complex and bulky equipment that make the environment futuristi c without bringing substantial innovations in the field o f isotonic training and fitness . However, alongside the aforementioned equipment there are always the so-called "basic" equipment often preferred by athletes and personal trainers for their proven functional ef fectiveness ; the so called "basic equipment" allow the performing of all the so- called " fundamental" exercises both for free body and with the aid of weights ( such as dumbbells and barbells ) or removable loads ( such as plates or similar ) .

As known by the skilled in the art , the most widespread and used "basic equipment" in gyms around the world mainl y include di f ferent types of benches , the bar, the parallel bars and some articulated apparatuses capable of implementing constrained movements based on the lever' s principles .

For example, the standard bench is a very versatile tool generally available in a horizontal, inclined, or declined arrangement, which allows the user to perform a very large number of exercises both lying down and sitting, both with weights and the free body.

Further, more specialized benches are provided and equipped with supports to allow the execution of isolated exercises such as, for example, "crunches" and "hyperextensions" for the training of the abdominal and back muscles .

Furthermore, bars and parallel bars also allow the performing of some "fundamental" exercises. For example, with the bar it is possible to perform different types of tractions (using a number of grips) and for the training of the back and arm muscles, and with the parallel bars it is possible to perform "push-ups" to train the triceps muscles and, by using a lumbar support, leg raises to train the abdominal muscles.

Furthermore, among the "basic equipment" based on the principles of levers, it is possible to identify those that allow the controlled execution of "rows" (for the training of the back muscles) , "presses" (for the training of the muscles of the shoulders) and "squats" (for the training of the muscles of the legs, buttocks and lower back) , possibly also applying additional loads.

On the other hand, in the "home gym" sector, to date two types of equipment have been proposed by companies in this sector. The first type includes those devices similar to large cages (also called "multipower") designed for those who, training mainly with barbells, use very high loads. These devices of the first type, more suitable for powerlifters than for bodybuilders or fitness athletes, often also include bars and parallel bars but still require additional benches (not always included) and have permanent apparatuses, visually very cumbersome and more suitable for being installed in cellars or garages rather than inside civilian homes .

The second type includes a large variety of gymnastic equipment generally consisting of a bench connected to a plurality of supports and accessories to train ( at least in the intentions declared by the manufacturer ) each muscl e area .

However, the abovementioned types of equipment entai l some disadvantages . A first disadvantage consists in the fact that the exercises that can be performed with the aforementioned equipment are often approximate and potentially harmful as a consequence of design compromises , due to the obj ective di f ficulty of including multipl e functions in a single equipment which, in addition to having small dimensions , should adapt to the dif ferent morphological characteristics of users .

Another disadvantage consists in the fact that sai d equipment of the second type are however bulky and cannot always be dismantled and stored, and furthermore they are aimed for a " amateur users" target with little or no training experience .

In light of the above , it is clear that the "basic home gyms" currently available on the market , are not able to satis fy the needs of bodybuilders and " intermediate" and " advanced" level fitness athletes who would like to train at home , both for design and structural reasons and for qualitative and functional reasons .

The present invention therefore aims to solve the aforementioned disadvantages and provide further advantages .

The present invention is addressed above all (but not limited to ) to " intermediate" and " advanced" users who need professional gymnastic equipment of a high functional and qualitative level .

The present invention is addressed to compact " all in one" equipment designed to replace the main "basic equipment" commonly provided in every gym, and in particular is addressed to the kind of equipment that do not originally include loads or devices (possibly combinable ) which are suitable to provide a constant or variable biasing to the exercises carried out by the users .

Brief description of the invention

The present invention provides a multipurpose apparatus for the gymnastic activities suitable to be used preferably in domestic or similar environments , in order to allow a standard, intermediate , or advanced level user to be able to train at home with the same performance compared to a professional equipment provided at gyms .

In particular, the main obj ect of the present invention is to provide a professional level "basic home gym" for the isotonic training and fitness , which provides the same functional and qualitative standards as the main "basic" equipment in gyms , and which provides a high number of exercises equipment that can be created in relation to the si ze of the home gym itsel f .

Another obj ect of the present invention is to provide a professional level "basic home gym" for isotonic training and fitness which can be quickly and safely configured thanks to the lightness and the easy handling of its components which are few, simple , and easily assembled .

Another obj ect of the present invention is to provide a professional-level "basic home gym" for isotonic training and fitness , with minimal space taken up and minimal visual impact .

A further obj ect of the present invention is to provide a professional level "basic home gym" for isotonic training and fitness which is robust and long-lasting, and which does not require particular maintenance , thanks to the reduced number of components having no complex mechanisms , and therefore free from breakages and mal functions .

Another obj ect of the present invention is to provide a low-cost professional level "basic home gym" for isotonic training and fitness which satis fies a number of needs which to the state of the art have been unsatis factorily solved . According to a first innovative aspect of the multipurpose apparatus of the present invention it i s envisaged that it is capable of being arranged for providing at least fi fteen di f ferent use configurations through which a user can perform the main " fundamental" exercises to train all the muscular districts of the body .

According to a second innovative aspect of the multipurpose apparatus of the present invention, it is provided that the same be af fixed to a wall and such that the reduced volume and minimal design make the apparatus easily insertable and integrated into the domestic context of a residential house , even i f small .

Therefore , the present invention provides a multipurpose apparatus for gymnastic activities substantially according to the appended claims .
