Description:
DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

MultJDOurpose σarbaoe-can for biσ surfaces and/or bulky waste.

The invention relates to a multipourpose garbage-can for big surfaces and/or bulky waste that is a manual devi¬ ce usefull for picking up voluminous waste and advanta¬ geous on big surfaces .

The state of the art includes trash cans of different shapes, but always to be used in a particular way.

In the state of the art manual trash cans with balancing are well known, used specially in large rooms, having the handle hinged at half height and connected with the lid: the user lays down it on the floor and, for the special lenght of the handle, the lid opens simultaneously, so that the user may sweep in the piled up waste. In the state of the art, also, bag carrying wheeled bo- gies are known, to facilitate moving, and with a mouth on the top for fixing the border of the bag; also, barrows, handycarts, tricycles or motortricycles in which the user puts refusal manually are well known.

Moreover, the types of garbage-cans or other means known are suitable for a specific or typical use: they do not facilitate picking up bulky waste, even, on large areas .

Such state of the art may be subjected to remarkable improvements regarding the possibility of facilitating and making easier andmultipourpose a single garbage-can too.

From what has been said so far, the necessity arises of solving the technical problem of setting up a garbage-can which facilitates and makes easy the picking up of bulky

waste and which may be moved easily.

The present invention solves the above-mentioned tech¬ nical problem by adopting: a garbage-can comprising a fra- me for support of the waste bag, characterized in that of having: an inclined ring for the wrapping up the border of the bag; a lid with dustpan conformation coupled in oscil¬ lating way to the frame and drawn alongside with its in¬ ternal border to the fore and/or upper side of the ring, so that it presses the border of the bag wrapped on it; a prominence of the bottom wall of the frame placed in pro¬ ximity of the above mentioned side of the ring, but less inclined than the ring; two back/lower trailing wheels from the opposite side of the ring; a pivot wheel or skid to support it in horizontal position, at intermediate po¬ sition between the ring and the trailing wheels, advanta¬ geouslyplacedunder the prominence.

Adopting, in addition to the previous features: the lid with dustpan conformation having side ears to contain and guide waste in open position; the frame, on its back/lower part, having a prominent foot, to the support the vertical position of the garbage-can, and a wall for support the bottom of the bag.

The advantages accomplishedby the present invention are: the waste, even if bulky, is loaded easily in the bag, sliding on the lid with dustpan conformation; the mouth of the bag, that is kept on the inclined ring of the frame, allows a speedy and sure storage, also of large quantities of waste, without having to stop steadily or lift the waste at higher height; moreover, the wheels of which the multipourpose garbage-can is equipped facilitate the trailing, with light thrusts of the broom or by haula- ge too; finally, at vertical position it may be advanta-

geously used as a trash can, with the lid with dustpan conformation covering its mouth.

An embodiment of the invention is shown in the unique drawing table attached, in which: Figure 1 shows the view of the garbage-can, as the invention, at horizontal posi¬ tion of picking; Figure 2 is the longitudinal section of the garbage-can; Figure 3 is the view of the garbage-can at vertical position, to be used as a trash can, with the lid with dustpan conformation open.

The indications are as follows: 1 (Figure 1) is the frame of the multipourpose garbage-can, having a pair of wheels 2, on its sides and rotably coupled to it by means of pins 3; 4 is a pivot wheel applied in central position and in proximity of the fore prominence 5 which the frame is equipped with; 6 is the bottom of metal sheet or pla¬ stic material that supports the bag 7 for the waste, the bottom is the continuation of the prominence mentioned; 8 is the wall of the foot 9, supporting and protecting the bottom of the bag even when in vertical position; 10 is the upper ring of the said frame 1, for fixing, by common staples in plastic material not showed, the border of the bag 7: the prominence 5 is fixed to the upper side 11 of the ring; 12 is the inclined upper arms of the frame to sustain the ring 10; 13 is two side arms of the ring, but less inclined, to sustain, by means of pivots 14, the lid with dustpan conformation 15, which on open position pres¬ ses with its lower part the border of the bag 7 against the upper side 11 of the ring 10; 16 is the extension wings of the lid sides with dustpan conformation 15, to make easy to storage waste in the bag: said wings are pla¬ ced outside the ring 10, but very close to the border of the bag 7 wrapped to it; 17, Figure 2, is the waste picked up in the bag 7; T is the picture of the ground or a

floor .

The multipourpose garbage-can works in the following way: the user, after fixing the border of the bag 7 on the ring 10, lays down the multipourpose garbage-can and trai¬ ling it easily, may store very cumbersome and bulky waste, like leaves, papers etc. ; the presence of wheels 2 and of the pivot wheel 4 allows the user to trail the garbage-can everywhere, in gardens or parks too; the difference of le- vel between the prominence 5 and the bottom 6 makes waste storage easy; when it is inside the mouth of the bag 7, it comes out no more.

For the use on uneven floors or rough grounds may be ne- cessary the precautionary closing of the lid with dustpan conformation 15 before moving. Finally, the foot 9 with the wall 8 support the bottom of the bag 7 during its transport or during stop at vertical or sub-vertical posi¬ tion.

After tests the best results are obtained with an incli¬ nation of 45° of the ring 10 referred to the ground, at rest position, as well as with an inclination of 10-15° of the prominence 5 and of the lid with dustpan conforma- tion 15, always referred to the ground; finally, the in¬ clination of the foot 9 is properly a little over the 90° as regards to the bottom 6, to compensate the diameter of wheels 2 when they are in vertical position.

If carrying out this invention the materials, dimensions and operative details should be different from those indi¬ cated, but technically equivalent, the patent will still be applied. So, even if less properly, the pivot wheel may be replaced by a fixed skid, that at vertical position may function as a trailing-handle.
