Abstract:
The inventive roadtrain (autotransformer) consists of a truck provided with a multiseat or conventional cabin (saloon), a cargo platform and a semitrailer. The semitrailer is connected to the truck by means of a drawbar (truck bolster) which transfers the part of the semitrailer load (equal or less than a safe load) to the rear part of the truck according to two embodiments. In the first embodiment (Fig. 3), said drawbar (truck bolster) is incorporated into the cargo platform, is stationary with respect to the truck when connected thereto and is arranged under the semitrailer platform. In the second embodiment (Fig. 4), the cargo platform is embodied in the form of the extension of the semitrailer platform, is permanently connected to the truck bolster which is fixed to the frame (body of the truck) and is movable with respect to the truck of the roadtrain. The cargo platform and the semitrailer platform are connected by means of the projected girders of the semitrailer which are insertable into the girders of the cargo platform and fixed by fixing elements. The cargo platform is fixed by arresters in the disconnected position thereof and is stationary with respect to the truck.
