CLAIMS
1. Small multipurpose utility vehicle which can be fitted with any type of motorisation and has a passenger compartment consisting of two seats and a rear area delimited by the backs of the seats and a rear window, characterised in that its body comprises a single front door which simultaneously functions as a roof, tilting on a horizontal axis situated in the front part of the vehicle, with structurally resistant rear pillars which support the fixed part of the roof and ensure the safety of the passenger compartment.
2. Small multipurpose utility vehicle according to the previous claim, characterised in that the movement of the door/roof unit, which tilts forwards and upwards, is activated manually or mechanically using suitable systems, namely by means of electrical systems or gas shock absorbers, with approximately 30% of the front part of the door/roof unit being able to be retracted inside the front part of the body, namely the part of the front window and the respective framework, in order to avoid excessive height when it is in the open position.
3. Small multipurpose utility vehicle according to claim 1, characterised in that the passenger seat can be provisionally removed in order to make it possible to transport any type of goods, for which purpose a suitable system is assembled.
4. Small multipurpose utility vehicle according to claim 1, characterised in that the glass of the rear window can be provisionally lowered in order to make it possible to transport goods which are longer than the passenger compartment.
5. Small multipurpose utility vehicle according to claim 1, characterised in that the front/upper unit (door/roof) can be provisionally removed in order to provide a convertible version of the model.
6. Small multipurpose utility vehicle according to claim 1, characterised in that it has a separator/grating between the driver's seat and the space next to it and the rear area, with safety belts in order to hold goods in place.
Description:
DESCRIPTION "MULTIPURPOSE UTILITY VEHICLE" The present invention relates to a very small multipurpose utility vehicle with characteristics and advantages which to date have never been combined in a single model.

Background to the invention Small motor vehicles with a single door have been known for a long time.

However, the door is a side door which makes it impossible to park in confined spaces and perpendicularly to the axis of the pathway, as some extra space is always required in order to open the side door. Furthermore, the small vehicles which are already known do not possess in a single model the multipurpose characteristics of the vehicle of this invention.

Summary of the invention Thus, one of the objectives of this invention is to design a vehicle with the following characteristics: -very small dimensions; -it has a single door which simultaneously functions as a roof, being a unit which tilts forwards and upwards in order to open the vehicle; -it has a small passenger compartment with two seats and a rear area delimited by the backs of the seats and a rear window; -the passenger seat can be provisionally removed in order to provide extra space for transporting any type of goods; -the glass of the rear window can be provisionally lowered in order to transport goods which are bigger than the passenger compartment; -the door/roof unit can be provisionally removed in order to provide a convertible version of the model; -it is possible to provisionally install a separator/grating between the driver's seat and the space next to it and the rear area, with safety belts in order to hold goods in place; and -in view of its size and the fact that no space alongside the door is required, the vehicle can park in confined spaces, namely perpendicularly to the axis of the pathway.

Brief description of the drawings These and other characteristics can be easily understood with the help of the drawings attached hereto, which are merely intended as examples and are not restrictive in any way and in which: -Figure 1 shows a front elevation of a possible embodiment; -Figure 2 shows a perspective view of the vehicle represented in figure 1; -Figure 3 shows a side elevation of the vehicle represented in figure 1, with the door/roof unit in the open position; -Figure 4 shows a side elevation of the vehicle represented in figure 1, with the door/roof unit in the closed position; -Figure 5 shows a side elevation of the vehicle represented in figure 1, with the door/roof unit in the open position and without the passenger seat; -Figure 6 shows a perspective view from above of the vehicle represented in figure 1, with the rear window in the lowered position; -Figure 7 shows a perspective view of the vehicle represented in figure 1, with separators in the passenger compartment; -Figure 8 shows a side elevation of the vehicle represented in figure 1, without the door/roof unit; -Figure 9 shows a rear view of the vehicle represented in figure 1.

Detailed description of the invention As can be seen from the figures, this new vehicle consists of a very small body and a passenger compartment with two seats and a rear area between the backs of said seats and a rear window. The vehicle is opened by tilting the whole door/roof unit forwards and upwards, as shown in figure 3. In order to avoid disproportionate heights when the door is in the open position, approximately 30% of the door/roof unit, when it is opened, retracts inside the front part of the body, namely part of the front window and its framework. The door/roof unit tilts by turning on a horizontal axis situated in the front part of the body. This door/roof unit can be activated manually or mechanically, for example electrically or by means of gas shock absorbers.

As shown in the figures, namely figure 3, the body of the vehicle of the invention has characteristics which make it possible to retract part of the door/roof unit in the open position, as mentioned above, and a design which guarantees the structural safety of the passenger compartment. For this purpose, the rear part of the body consists of structurally resistant pillars which support the fixed part of the roof.

Figure 5 represents the vehicle of the invention without the passenger seat, which was provisionally removed in order to transport various types of goods. As shown in figure 7, separators/grating can be installed in order to hold the goods in place, and in the spaces that they delimit safety belts can be fitted. For this purpose, the passenger seat will be assembled using a suitable system which allows the seat to be removed easily. Likewise, the separators/grating can be assembled in such a way as to allow them to be easily raised and fixed in place. All these systems are widely known and therefore do not require any further explanations.

Figures 6 and 8 show respectively the vehicle with the rear window open in order to transport goods which are bigger than the passenger compartment, and the vehicle in the convertible position. The system for opening the rear window and the system which allows the door/roof unit to be totally removed are also widely known and therefore do not require any more detailed explanations.

Obviously, alterations can be made to the embodiment described above, provided that they do not go beyond the spirit and the scope of the claims hereunder. It is therefore possible to have a body with a different design, since this is not an objective of the invention.

This type of vehicle can also have various types of motorisation, for example an electric motor or a thermal or combination engine. All the other components of the vehicle can also be substituted by others considered to be more suitable for each specific solution.

The invention must only be limited by the claims hereunder.
