Abstract:
Provided is a device whereby a step for fermenting or cooling foodstuffs transported on a conveyor can be added without drastically changing a foodstuff transport pathway using an existing conveyor. A tray (TR) received from an upstream existing conveyor device (103U) is placed on an upstream conveyor device (151). A first lift device (201) uses a lifting flipper (205) to scoop the tray (TR) up off the upstream conveyor device (151) and transport the tray upwards. Positioned at the top level of the first lift device (201), the tray (TR) is transferred to a second lift device (401) by means of a pusher device (301). Using a lowering flipper (405), the second lift device (401) holds the tray (TR) while transporting said tray downwards and places the tray on a downstream conveyor device (152). The downstream conveyor device (152) passes the tray (TR) to a downstream existing conveyor device (103D).
