Abstract:
[PROBLEMS] To provide a multistage piston type vacuum pump simply and compactly formed, capable of developing a high performance, and consuming less power. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] This multistage piston type vacuum pump comprises at least one cylinder (110), a plurality of pistons (120) fitted into the cylinders (110) so as to be reciprocatingly moved independently of each other, a plurality of piston shafts (130) and a plurality of crank arms (140) for connecting the plurality of pistons (120) to a crankshaft (150). The vacuum pump is characterized in that the piston shaft (131) connected to the piston positioned apart from the crankshaft (150) is passed through the piston (122) positioned close to the crankshaft (150), and connected to the crank arm (141) and intake valves (112a) for sucking a gas in a closed space (500) to be vacuated into the cylinders (110) are installed in the cylinders (110) at a wall part (112) positioned apart from the crankshaft (150).
