Abstract:
The present invention provides a muscle-building composition or the like that has few side effects, is very safe, and enables efficient buildup of muscles. Disclosed are: a muscle-building composition that contains, as an active ingredient, a bacterium of the genus Bifidobacterium and/or a culture thereof; a method for building up muscles by administering, as an active ingredient, a bacterium of the genus Bifidobacterium and/or a culture thereof; a method for ameliorating or treating a muscle disorder or a symptom thereof by administering, as an active ingredient, a bacterium of the genus Bifidobacterium and/or a culture thereof; a bacterium of the genus Bifidobacterium and/or a culture thereof for use in amelioration or treatment of a muscle disorder or a symptom thereof; use of a bacterium of the genus Bifidobacterium and/or a culture thereof for the purpose of building up muscles; and use of a bacterium of the genus Bifidobacterium and/or a culture thereof for the purpose of manufacturing a muscle-building composition that comprises, as an active ingredient, a bacterium of the genus Bifidobacterium and/or a culture thereof.
