Abstract:

Provided is a muscle strength training belt which makes it possible to precisely measure a pressurizing force, which is applied to a muscle by a belt, without requiring a pressure receiving bag or tube. This belt is used for training a muscle by applying a predetermined pressurizing force to a specific portion of the limbs of a user and thereby limiting rather than stopping the blood flow in the user's muscle, the belt being provided with: a band-shaped member wound around the specific portion; a gas bag disposed inside the band-shaped member; a shape retaining member that retains a loop shape formed by winding the band-shaped member around the specific portion; and a pressurizing force measuring device that measures the pressurizing force, applied to the specific portion, on the basis of the amount of gas that is inside the gas bag while the loop shape is retained. The pressurizing force measuring device has: a plurality of pressure-sensitive elements which are disposed at predetermined intervals on a muscle-facing side of the band-shaped member and output electrical signals corresponding to the pressurizing force; and a calculation unit which calculates the pressurizing force on the basis of the electrical signals output from the pressure-sensitive elements, wherein the calculation unit calculates the average value of the pressurizing force on the basis of the plurality of electrical signals output from the pressure-sensitive elements.
