Abstract:
The present invention relates to: a muscular-atrophy-inducing agent containing, as an active ingredient, a hypometabolism-inducing substance selected from the group consisting of T1AM (3-iodothyronamine), DADLE ([D-Ala2,D-Leu5] enkephalin), 5'-AMP (5'-adenosine monophosphate) and H2S(hydrogen sulfide); a muscular-atrophy study-model production method comprising a step of inducing muscular atrophy by administering said muscular-atrophy-inducing agent; a study model produced in accordance with said muscular-atrophy study-model production method; a method of drug screening for preventing or treating muscular atrophy by using said study model; and a composition for preventing or treating muscular hypertrophy, and a composition for facial muscle shrinkage. The muscular-atrophy study model according to the present invention is advantageous in that said study model can provide an economic study model for muscular-atrophy study by using a hypometabolism-inducing agent capable of mass production, and can beneficially be used in testing for the screening of drugs for preventing or treating muscular atrophy and, in addition, the invention can beneficially be used as a composition for preventing or treating muscular hypertrophy, and a composition for facial muscle shrinkage through a muscle-atrophying effect.
