Abstract:
This musical-composition editing system holds music information including music, and musical-composition structure information indicating the structure of a musical-composition to be edited, which is constituted by simultaneous reproduction of a plurality of pieces of music which are included in the music information and which have the same length. The musical-composition structure information indicates the plurality of pieces of music and output states indicating whether each of the plurality of pieces of music is being output during individual periods created by dividing the length of the plurality of pieces of music into prescribed lengths. The musical-composition editing system: references the musical-composition structure information to display, for the individual periods, music display regions indicating the output states of each of the plurality of pieces of music; if a music display region is selected, changes, in the musical-composition structure information, the output state of the music corresponding to the selected music display region for the period corresponding to the selected music display region; and switches the display of the output state in the selected music display region.
