Abstract:
A musical composition structural analysis device (1) comprises: a peak signal detection means (4) that detects a peak signal having a maximum level within a prescribed segment, among signal strengths for signals having no more than a prescribed frequency constituting musical composition data; a smoothing means (5) that performs smoothing of signal strengths for the detected peak signal, for each unit segment; a differential amount calculation means (6) that calculates differential amounts for the signal strength of the peak signal compared to the unit segments that temporally precede or follow, for the signal strength of the peak signal in each smoothed unit segment; a peak signal extraction means (7) that extracts a peak signal that, among the calculated differential amounts, has a differential amount for the signal strength of that peak signal that is within a prescribed threshold value range relative to the differential amount for the highest signal strength; and a breakpoint determination means (8) that determines a temporal position for a peak signal, among the extracted peak signals, as a breakpoint for the musical composition data, when the temporal change in signal strength of subsequent peak signals is within a prescribed threshold value range continuously for a prescribed time.
