Abstract:
A soybean having an oleic acid content exceeding that of the high-oleic-acid soybeans developed thus far is provided without using gene recombination. A soybean species containing a mutant gene in which the function of the GmFAD2-1b gene has been deleted, and a mutant gene in which the function of the GmFAD2-1b gene has been deleted are also provided.
