Abstract:
A polypeptide that has a specific amino acid mutation at at least one of amino acid residues at the positions 14, 37, 290, 293 and 319, from the N-end, of the amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 1 in the amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 1 or a sequence analogous thereto; a polynucleotide that has a base sequence encoding the amino acid sequence of the aforesaid polypeptide; an expression cassette; a vector; a transformant; a method for producing the aforesaid polypeptide; and a method for producing 2-deoxy-scyllo-inosose.
