Abstract:
An n-type semiconductor composed of a fullerene compound represented by formula (1), which can provide an n-type semiconductor material which is soluble in an organic solvent and capable of providing a uniform thin film. (In the formula, R1-R5 each represents a hydrogen atom or an OR7 group (wherein R7 represents a monosaccharide residue), and R6 represents an alkyl group having 1-5 carbon atoms.  In this connection, at least one of R1-R5 is the OR7 group.)
