Abstract:
Provided are: an N-vinyl lactam polymer that has little change (yellowing) in color tone and can maintain color tone, even under high-temperature conditions; and a method for producing the N-vinyl lactam polymer. The N-vinyl lactam polymer has a structural unit derived from an N-vinyl lactam monomer, and has a structural unit comprising a hypophosphite group and/or a metal hypophosphite at the main chain terminals.
