Abstract:
When networks composed of regular switches exist between communication paths, QoS cannot be controlled with respect to users in the networks. Specifically, a switch receives packets and notifies an external controller, and a user authentication unit of the controller determines the QoS policy of the flow. When a plurality of networks exists between paths, a path calculation unit selects a path based on the QoS policy and topology information in such a manner that the path is routed through the optimum network. When a flow table generation unit transmits packets to the selected network, a flow table, which performs queuing and marks DSCP values to the DS field of a header, is generated on the basis of the QoS policy, and the flow table for a round trip is registered to a switch.
