Abstract:
A naked eye 3D virtual viewpoint image generation method and a portable terminal. The method comprises: obtaining a left reference image and a right reference image taken by a camera, and performing correction; using a stereo matching algorithm to respectively obtain depth maps of the left and right reference images according to the corrected left and right reference images; respectively generating a left virtual viewpoint image and a right virtual viewpoint image according to the left and right reference images and the depth maps thereof, and eliminating cracks and filling holes during the process of generating the left and right virtual viewpoint images; performing linear weighted fusion on the left and right virtual viewpoint images, and obtaining a naked eye 3D virtual viewpoint image. The virtual viewpoint image synthesised using the present method does not have cracks or holes, and has a good image effect when used for naked eye viewing.
