Title:
NANOCELLULOSE-BASED ECO-FRIENDLY HIGH-STRENGTH, HIGH-STIFFNESS AND HYDROPHOBIC TIRE CORD AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREFOR
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2023/027302
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a nanocellulose-based eco-friendly tire cord and a manufacturing method therefor, and, more specifically, to a nanocellulose-based high-strength, high-stiffness and hydrophobic tire cord and a manufacturing method therefor, the cord being obtained by extracting, through the combination of a chemical method and a physical method, a cellulose nanofiber with a high aspect ratio, and by manufacturing nanocellulose long fiber therefrom through spinning, and having improved mechanical properties through electric field alignment, coating, drawing and drying. More specifically, the present invention relates to an eco-friendly high-strength, high-stiffness and hydrophobic nanocellulose-based tire cord and a manufacturing method therefor, the cord being obtained by extracting an oxidized cellulose nanofiber and by manufacturing a nanocellulose long fiber through wet spinning in a divalent or trivalent metal aqueous solution while nanocellulose is aligned through the application of an electric field, and having improved mechanical properties and hydrophobicity through eco-friendly cross-linking agent coating and drying, mechanical drawing and heat treatment.
