Title:
NANOCELLULOSE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2020/059525
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention pertains to nanocellulose containing sulfate groups and/or sulfo groups derived from sulfuric acid treatment, and anionic functional groups derived from hydrophilization treatment, and provides: nanocellulose in which the total amount of sulfate groups and/or sulfo groups, and anionic functional groups, is more than 0.1 mmol/g and no more than 4.0 mmol/g, whereby the nanocellulose has a low fiber length, contains many anionic functional groups, is capable of actualizing exceptional barrier properties and handling properties, and is also exceptional economically; and a method for producing the nanocellulose.
