Abstract:
A transparent soluble polyimide resin was solubilized in N,N-dimethyl acetamide and a sample solution of 10 weight% concentration was prepared. Said sample solution was placed in a container CNT with an attached nozzle NZL and mounted on the device shown in figure 1 to fabricate a nanofiber structure. The fabricated polyimide nanofiber structure maintained original polyimide characteristics such as high thermal resistance and insulation while acquiring excellent water resistance/water vapor resistance and air permeability. Furthermore, when a nanofiber structure was fabricated from a different polyimide resin using a similar technique, the nanofiber structure maintained excellent adhesiveness.
