Title:
NANOGAP SERIES SUBSTANCE CAPTURING, DETECTING AND IDENTIFYING METHOD AND DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2005/095922
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A nanogap series substance capturing, detecting and identifying method and device which, even if molecules of a substance to be detected are present in a liquid, are capable of measuring the substance with high sensitivity. The device comprises a cantilever array (3) constructed by disposing cantilevers (4) having a series of proves (5), and a substrate (1) disposed below the cantilever array (3) and having an decorative surface (2) disposed in such a manner as to correspond to the probes (5) of the cantilevers (4). The unknown substance (6) is captured, detected and identified by gaps of the order of nanometers between the unknown substance (6) set on the decorative surface (2) and the probes (5) of the cantilevers (4).
