Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a process for manufacturing a nanoparticle dispersion, said process enabling stable dispersion which is not accompanied with the aggregation of nanoparticles. [Solution] This process for manufacturing a nanoparticle dispersion comprises: subjecting a material (5) to be crushed into nanoparticles to immersion in a solvent (4) put in a treatment vessel (3); irradiating the material (5) with a pulsed laser to crush the material (5) optically into nano-sized particles, and thus forming a nanoparticle dispersion of nanoparticles (P) in the solvent; and irradiating the nanoparticle dispersion with ultrasonic waves to inhibit the aggregation of the nanoparticles (P) in the dispersion. Further, the process is characterized in that the pulsed laser has a wavelength longer than the wavelength at which the absorption assignable to an electron transition characteristic of the material (5) occurs.
