Abstract:
Disclosed are a wearable tactile navigation apparatus (120) and a method. The wearable tactile navigation apparatus (120) comprises a tactile navigation actuator (126). The tactile navigation actuator (126) comprises a feedback contact (128) and is configured to control, according to a direction indication signal, the feedback contact (128) and to generate a tactile signal indicative of the direction, wherein the direction indicated by the tactile signal is consistent with a movement direction suggested to a user. The wearable tactile navigation apparatus (120) and method can provide a tactile navigation signal having directionality for users, including visually impaired people who have navigation requirements, so as to give navigation advice more direct than a voice prompt.
